It's been a long time coming but I finally received notice that my account was activated.
I came to own a 16 gauge LC Smith a couple (few) years ago, I was browsing through a LGS and came upon a Field model that was at a price I couldn't walk away from (I hate when that happens).
The finish is worn, clearly it has been carried a lot but it seems tight. There was quite a bit of corrosion in the locks that required cleaning up but otherwise is a solid shooter grade.
I've been fortunate that I have been able to find game loads locally and that has been my primary focus although I have a MEC 600jr. ready to go if the need arises.
I haven't had the chance to get out with it much but I'm hopeful for the spring. I've enjoyed reading through the various posts here and have gained a great deal of insight to the 16 gauge. I have a penchant for "less" popular chamberings and the 16 fits in perfectly. |

Welcome aboard, glad to hear from some new 16'ers. Reasonably sure we can help getting that 600 up and running need be. |

Welcome to the site. You will find a lot of good 16ga loading info here. You should look in to the LC Smith collectors association. They are near your area and are a bunch of good folks. You can find a lot of info on LC Smith guns there. |

rkrcpa1,
Welcome to the 16 forum, glad you finally made it in. Nice old 16 gauge L.C. Smith you own. You might consider using light 2 1/2" shells in her to safe guard the old stock.
RST has great shells for Classic guns, if you do not want to reload.
Welcome
Pine Creek/Dave
