New ( old ) guy.
Signed up a while back. Account now activated. Really liking the 16 gauge. My brother tried to get me to switch to the 16 from my trusty 12 but I wasn’t having any of it. Well that was 48/49 years ago. Talk about a slow learner. Wished now I’d done it 45/46 years ago. I’ll probably never carry the ( very ) heavy 12 anymore. The Sweet 16 ( 64 Round Knob ) feels like I should have carried it all along. And it shoots where I’m looking to boot. Go figure. I’ll try to get a picture up but it looks like most others in that time frame with a 28” modified matte rib barrel. Gun is in 85 to 90 % condition with minor bluing loss around the muzzle. I “ adjust “ the choke by using spreaders in the first shot or two. With standard field loads it patterns more like a light full or improved modified.
Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and thanks for having me.

Welcome, you’ve joined a great group, plenty of good info and conversations here. If you’re going to reload for that Sweet 16, this is the place to be. |

Thank you all so much. Great site yes indeed. I’ve been using the 16 for all upland game. I usually shoot a few clays before hunting season starts so I stand some chance of hitting something. Game is getting harder to come by and if I ever do flush the elusive ruff grouse I’d like a decent chance for a clean kill.
Getting older means not as much miles on foot, but it still is great to get out and go for a woods walk.
