The link didnt work for me yesterday, but I see its sold. I used to have one of those but mine was a 26 inch with normal barrel rib and extractors. This one has the Churchill rib and ejectors. Sold mine 5 or 6 yrs ago for about 1300.00 so someone stole this one.

I have seen several incredible 16ga deals lately, I will try to keep it in the 16ga family so to speak. You really never know what might pop up. Lots of people under 40 have no idea or care about grandpa’s guns. I want to find a nice 16ga Lindner but other than that I’m pretty good with my 16s.

I appreciate you doing that. For me it's usually just to ogle some cool guns, or see what kind of deal I had on a purchase.

I've got eyes on four 16 ga, two of which are in my price range but I am holding off so far. Need to get what I have taken care of, though I might break down on one of them. I don't want to be a collector, I prefer to have an actual shooting purpose for what I buy. Nothing wrong with collecting, but I just know I would get into a lot of trouble.

All bets are off if I were to come into a large sum of money somehow. No fewer than 10 different 16 ga guns, and some other gauges, would be added to my stable.

Even some of the older guys I know are more interested in the newer offerings.

A very good price.

That said moving a gun with 25in (XXV) barrels can be hard. They are an acquired taste which not everyone can shoot well.

If you can shoot short barrels well they can make great grouse guns.

I luckily blundered into a 1937 12 ga Churchill XXV side-plated self opening boxlock ejector that had great engraving, i could not resist the engraving, i gambled and found I shot it well. I fell in love with the “Smith” patent action and I am now own two more. I am now on a quest to find a 16ga Churchill XXV self opener with a scalloped receiver.. i have found examples of my dream gun sold in European gun auctions, so I know they exist, just not on the market right now, all i have to do is search for the next decade, or come up with the funds to rebarrel a small frame 12ga Churchill gun I already have in 16 ($10-15k).

I feel guilty shooting a light 12 instead of one of my 16’s, especially since I have 10,000 plus 16 ga shells on the shelf. (No I am not interested in selling any)

Please Forgive me going off thread.
