Not a 16, so my apologies up front. This gun is a duplicate of a Quality 2 gun that I now own (& I don't need two of them).

Recently gone thru by Terry Nicholson (1st deep-cleaning ever [according to Terry], tubes refinished, checkering recut). This 2nd year Fulton production "transitional gun" used equipment and materials from the earlier Syracuse operation (English walnut stocks, more ornately sculped actions, bushed firing-pins, the 1st stop-check, a double dog buttplate, etc.). A big & heavy 12-gauge with massive (almost 4-lb) 30-inch English Laminated Steel tubes (w/ modified chokes and 2 3/4-inch chambers). Great triggers and trouble-free operation now (no stock-cracking issues & modern target ammunition is not a problem either).

I bought this unit to shoot with the Colorado Vintagers and it breaks clays with abandon (and at 7lbs13 you'll barely notice the recoil). This gun also has the 3-position Big Window safety (allowing the shooter to chose automatic or disabled-safety operation). Be the only guy to shoot a vintage (but very solid) SXS at your local clays range.

Also, being pre-1898 it can be shipped directly (no FFL services required). Additional pictures and measurements upon request. Contact me here (via PMs) if interested.

Asking $1,200.

Edit to add: English Best Laminated Steel is at least 70% steel and was arguably the strongest of all the Damascus-steel options. Moreover, these tubes are something like 70 thousandths thick at the breech and with minimums of 35-40 thousandths at the thinnest points.

Mr. Corso, no cast at all and it's whatever standard length was in those days, (14 3/8 I believe). I'll confirm that tomorrow (out and about tonight).

Understand

Edit to add: Because these older American guns tend to have a bit more drop, cast becomes less of an issue for most folks. Normally on a bigger 12 like this I would also require a significant cast-on (in my case) to shoot it effectively. These older guns allow for a more "heads-up" approach (instead of "crawling the stock") and once you get the hang of it, it seems to work just fine.

Wow...2152 views and zero interest? That's surprising to me.

My Lord! 4552 views here and still... no takers? Well, I could just take it down and then donate it to a good cause but...I'll let it ride for just a little more here.

I know big 12s are out of favor these days, but this one is a shockingly-decent unit that really harkens back to the days of seriously "quality-built" firearms in this country.

Nothing being manufactured now is nearly as well-made as this one is.

Not even close.

I'm down to a thousand here ($1000) and that is my very bottom (& it does not include shipping). I'll be out of the country for the next few weeks so...take your time here.

This is a real beauty that is going for a song! I think you should list it elsewhere such as gunsinternational or maybe Parker forum.

Good luck!

Oyeme is right. Consider this gun "pulled". Other options now.
