Gentlemen,

Got 5 more inches last night here in the Pa mountains, everything is back to a winter wonderland and it is very beautiful right now!

No snow here in southern Kansas but much cooler than normal. Only 21 degrees at 1pm today. I have become used to warmer weather since I have been here thirteen years and I tell my friends this reminds me of back home in northern Missouri and that is one reason I retired in the south!

3 inches only in CT. Shot my first skeet match in the snow…a different experience for sure!

Would’ve been a great duck day were it not for no-duck-hunting-Sunday-Connecticut…

I would have preferred the dozen or so inches of rain that we got to have been snow- at least then the soil wouldn't have been saturated and allowed the 25 mph winds to blow trees over onto the power and fiber-optic lines. Power, Internet and Cable was unavailable for nearly a week. At least we had a generator to keep the freezers operating.

It was cold here for a bit, but this is a classic "La Niña" winter so-far this year and it's going to be 66-degrees and sunny here today. We'd actually prefer to get some colder weather and snow here so our Christmas decorations seem more appropriate.

American Meet,
All that rain flows downhill! Our son’s place was a couple blocks from evacuation, close call. Cashmere and Leavenworth got socked!

Understatement- We were without PUD power, Internet service, TV cable and no access to antenna/direct TV- so we were isolate for 5 days. Fortunately a couple years ago I had a 9500 Watt propane powered generator installed so we kept electricity going. Our friends across the street were away and couldn't get back due to road closures and we couldn't get into their house to empty the freezer so a bunch of food was lost. at least no trees fell on the houses in our neighborhood although a fairly new F150 took a large tree right on the cab and it's a total loss. Now it's raining again with the forecast for several days of rain- hopefully it will turn to snow soon.
