First day of Missouri spring turkey season.
Always send Mike the pictures of the turkey's that I call in for folks as well as the ones I shoot.
This morning my old boss and his wife , each took a bird in two separate setups , still hard not sending the pictures right away to the ole Colonel's phone.
I am taking my sweety in the morning and let's see if she can sit still long enough to shoot one .😁
I will slip out and get one after I help the dozen folks get one this season.
Just down in the dumps thinking about the pictures this year Mike will miss seeing.
Regards Nick |

| I suspect that you won't need to send the photos for Mike to see them. |

Nick, your photos are with Mike at this very moment, where he is now, in your heart of hearts.

Yes, I am sure Mike will be watching as things unfold while you are Turkey hunting. He may even join in.
He is certainly missed.
Feel free to post those pictures here, we would love to see them. |

Might have got this correct.
This is my old boss Ron and his bird on opening morning.
Regards Nick
If I call them in almost every one can get a bird. |

Nick:
We all miss him. I'll be down in Whittington shortly and he will be missed there too. |

| Not sure which is worse- dying or living so long that we see that several of our friends have died. I will be attending my Class of '66 reunion and everyone of my close friends from high school have died- I'll go to see who's left. |

https://flic.kr/ps/47HvHi
We're allowed to hunt all day in Missouri now on private property, so I slipped out this evening at 5:30 , spotted birds at 500 or so yards could tell the three birds were gobblers but couldn't tell the size in the tall grass.
Run to the timber covered the distance to 200 ish yards , belly crawling to a depression in the field that I thought the turkey would pass by .
Having learned years ago that if one lays on the belly places your chin on the stock without raising one's head when you can see the turkey under the hat bill that the turkey is in gun range.
These turkeys passed within 25 yards , I decided turkey dinner at that moment was in order.
Taking a fellow in the morning , let's see what can be done.
