What do you think, do we have somebody looking to knock the "Torchmaster" off his throne?

Same guy's got a 16g Ithaca NID Field for $700 with marked 2 3/4" chambers.
Those case colors could be legit.

My opinion,

The case colors look like typical cyanide coloring used on Uggies during that time period.
The other gun looks OK also.
My question would be, what globs on the forend wood of the Uggy.?

Thanks for the replies.

The Uggie is the one that made me suspicious. So I started wondering if the german gun had been touched up. Seems to be quite a bit of case coloring for it's age. Although, pretty good condition overall.

Ugg. colors look legit to me ( I've seen a few up close). Foreend globs of duck s--- look like a JB weld repair to cracks, likely leading to the foreward screw on the outside of fore end. The other guns the dealer has-L. C. Smith, NID, don't appear to be messed with; so I'll guess the Simpson is probably original.
