As though I "needed" another 16ga, I bought a J.C. Higgins Model
583.21, 16ga, 28 inch, full choke at a local pawn shop yesterday. Was
ripped off to the tune od $64.05! Shiney bores, overall condition maybe
70%. When I get the "bug", they follow me home. Is there a known, legal
cure?
I enjoy shooting 16ga, and reloading as well.

You know, IT KING, once the 16 bug bites there is no cure until your time comes to leave them to the next generation. I have fooled around in the shotgun game for better than 30 years. I got my love for 16s from my grandfather as a young boy and to this day, no other shotgun gets me going like a 16. My granddad used to say "handles like a 20 shoots like a 12"...

Now get that shooter cleaned up and in September, you can go to the preserve just north of "Beautiful Downtown PACTOLUS" and shoot a few quail! Very Happy Very Happy

At that price, if it doesn't shoot well, it would be a fine boat paddle. Very Happy

I've had the 16ga itis for several months. Any known cure? Went to Old
Hickory Gun Club, Rocky Mount, NC, one Friday afternoon, BS session in
full force, and "bought" a Ward Hercules (?) 16ga, shooting condition, for
$10.00, and a S & W "lemon squeezer", 32 cal revolver, very good condition, for $20.00. Just keeping my eyes open for bargains. Recently,
got a Fox B, very good, 90-95%, 16ga for $350.00 Awesome shooter.
I try to hit the pawn shops in local area at least once per week, best time
on Monday or Tuesday.

Enjoy
