Anyone planning on going to the U.P. Shoot this weekend? June 15th - 17th. I'll be there, and I'm driving a dark green, 4 door, GMC pickup, with a matching topper. I've got the 16 gauge sticker on the back window, I'll have my pin on my hat, and I'll be shooting 16 gauges. If anyone happens to see me sitting on the tailgate at the end of the day, having a cold one, please stop and say hi.
Regards, Dave Miles |

Had fully planned to . . . now its down to about a 50% chance. We'll see how things shake out.
If you see a stocky guy aged late 20s with a beard and 16ga hat w/ partridge on it, it's prolly me!

Dave,
Still chuckling when I think about the shoot in Lapeer.
I sure wish I could make the UP....
Jeff
ps: Are you taking that venerable grade 3 gun to the UP? If so get one of the boys to shoot and email me a picture of you with it!

Jeff,
It's strictly SxS's at this shoot. Even the guys like me, just shooting the side events, use SxS's. I might have seen a o/u a few years ago, but never a pump or auto. You'll be seeing that gun shortly. |

Dave,
I feel it is fair to tell you in advance that I do a lot of product testing during a refinish. I expect to "field test" the mechanical action of all parts before AND after doing the work.
The most expensive part of the stock work I do just might be the shells I burn!
I'll have Destry's 1905 M11 at the Fathers day shoot for final "testing".
His 1922 "10 shot" M11 is down while I get the old, soft solder joint in the extended mag tube reinforced.
