Shooting Sportsman magazine is running a feature about L.C. Smith this current issue.

Rev Drew's head is beginning to swell, and we need a carpenter to widen all his doorways.

AND beautifyin' the cover of the 27th Edition Blue Book of Gun Values

For once in my life I might be leading the parade, rather than walking behind it cleaning up after the elephants Rolling Eyes

And doncha think the engraving on this Quality No. 7 Syracuse gun is a bit Germanic? Better get yourself one before they're all gone Wink

Hey Drew,

Looks real nice. How about some close-ups of that gun? And weight also?

Thanks guys Very Happy I only use 7/8 oz low pressure loads from RST and William Larkin Moore (loaded for them here in Phoenix) BUT Dr 16g and Dave M both traded me a bunch of 7/8 oz and 3/4 oz handloads for some pheasant and target loads Cool And I only owe them the empties back.
I've had the 30" 00E 16 and 30" 00 12 both glasbedded, so I'm comfortable with any 1 oz 16 or 1 1/8 oz 12 factory load.

So, Drew.

Why didn't you glass bed the stock on the 16 ga? The reasons can't be monetary. After all, you pass around the collection plate every Sunday. That's better than an ATM machine.

I shouldn't legitimize that sort of reprobate malicious persecutory defamation Razz BUT the answer is, the head of the stock is not oil soaked and has no cracks, and I'll never shoot anything but light loads, so I thought I'd leave the stock the way Hunter Arms made her.

Revdoc, my brother, I have always been a fan of deep relief engraving. Those old favorites show the Germanic influence of old world craftsman. Joe Fugger was a particular favorite of mine as far as engravers, as well as the Ullrichs.

Sorry dude,

I've just been in awe...

Damn fine gun!! Can I say "damn" to a minister? Now I understand why you like those heavy, stock-cracking, American guns! Nicer than any other American gun I've ever seen. (Don't you Ithaca, Parker, Winchester, and Fox guys get all in a tizzy!!)
