At the the request of Revdocdrew, I am presenting feedback for anyone interested in an affordable gunsmith in the North Texas area.
A couple months ago I dropped my Sterlingworth off at Gunmasters in Plano, TX for a thorough cleaning (the left barrel occasionally misfired). For just under $50 he took the gun totally apart and thoroughy cleaned it. He also test fired several times with blank ammo, and no misfires. Dont' know for sure that the problem is solved until I take it to the range, but so far so good.
The gunsmith is Kent Branson, phone: 972-423-0121.
There are only a couple gunsmiths in the Dallas area, and they are very busy. There is a 2 month wait on anything you leave with Kent. Hope this information is of use to someone needing a good smith at a fair price.

I have a lot of unfished streams yet to be fished. i suspect that will occupy most of my time.

Update from previous post: I took the Sterly to the North Texas Shoot yesterday and shot 100 rounds without a hickup. So, it looks like the cleaning did the trick. I suggest to others who are experiencing mis-fires to pursue this course of action first before spending a lot of money on parts, unless of course you know that you have a defective part. My gunsmith is in Plano, TX and was quite reasonable ($45) for a complete teardown and cleaning. PM me for details.
