Estimate seems high but min bid is $600. Other interesting guns also.

I don't think that the estimate for this gun is far off base. Ejector guns draw a premium these days.

Wouldn't surprise me if it surpasses the estimate.

When Drew comes along, he'll offer better opinions than I could ever muster up. Hey Drew, how is the weather? I hear it's hot again.

I believe that's a Marlin Gun, they won't bring what the Hunter Arms will. Also has a recoil pad to keep the price down. I wouldn't bid over $1500, if I didn't really want it.. That might just buy it.. But who knows, it's an auction.. MDC

Something ain't right. The serial number makes it 1919 per http://www.lcsmith.org/shotguns/manufacture.html.
Wood is too blond and likely refinished, or possibly restocked. Would still make a wonderful bird gun.
Hell season again Peter, except with humidity. Big dust storm in the SE valley this afternoon. Setter dog keeps looking towarded Kansas and moaning Rolling Eyes

MD-YOU might be right! S7728 is 1946. A look at the thicker forend of the Marlin guns might settle the issue.

Look at the rib---- Hunter didn't have single sighting plane ribs in 1919.
