Anyone using Cheddite 16 gauge hulls for putting up black powder loads? I have a Tisdall of Birmingham damascus hammer double with short chambers that I'd like to shoot with mild loads in paper hulls. Not sure where I can get the Federal papers, if they even make them in 16. Already have some Magtech brass cases on hand. |

Ihave not loaded BP in the 16 gauge Cheddite hulls, but I have in the 12 gauge Cheddite hulls. They work fine. You can get some really low pressures with the 16 gauge Cheddite paper hulls, especially if you roll crimp them, with smokeless powders. |

Mr. Baden Powell (cool name - I bet revdocdrew will be contacting you):
I have PLENTY of the 16 ga cheddite paper hulls. I'm loading green dot with sg16 wads and 1 oz with some success in these.
If you wish to have some cheddite papers to try before you buy, pm me and I can send you some. |

Thanks for the replies, gentlemen. I do plan to roll crimp them.
And Revdocdrew:
We had a gratifying turnout of the very finest sort of young men at Scouting's recent centenary ceremonies at Brownsea. Good stuff and heartening to know that we still have stout-hearted lads who grasp the need to be prepared. |
