Just wanted to share todays joy with y'all. That old belgian guild gun I picked up for 200 bucks absolutely blew me away as to how well it performed for me on doves this weekend. Unbelievable! Absolutely the best bird shooting I have ever experienced in my life. No misses and several doubles - on doves!!!!!! I loaded up a bunch of 25grain 7625/winAAL wad/1oz nickel # 6 (low pressure 12GA) because it was all I had in inventory. I was thinking to myself that I was handicapping myself with these as I was loading them up.
 WOOOOWWW!!! they worked incredibly well as did that lil SXS. I'm gonna measure her up and cast those measurments in stone necause I've found the ideal formula for me. Can't wait until Oct 6 as Chukar opens then! This lil gun is pure magic. Sorry, I know it aint a 16GA but I just had to share my joy with you guys. I still love the 16GA too. Essentially, I loaded this up like a 16GA that should count for something.  |
