What kind of bamboo rod did you get? |

I sure hope your Lady appreciates the good things in life that Men Like.
You still have a chance to change you mind.
My Son ended up selling all his toys because the Lady was a Liberal Nut. He is finally putting his collection back together after a nasty break-up. |

Pork: I've heard nothing but good things about A.J.'s rods. What's the Payne taper? Good luck with the 870!

I sold a almost new (98%) 16ga 870 WM with 28" barrel to another on this board just last year. It was a sweet gun, but had become a safe queen. the 28" barrel sure made it balance well and swing smooth!!
I replaced it with a 16ga 870 express youth model. It's black synthetic and has a 23" barrel. I use a slip on pad with it and it fits perfectly, plus, no or very little felt recoil. I drop the pad and my nephew (12), sister, & gf all shoot it. It's my all around back-up, foul weather, loaner, HD, heavy brush gun, all in one
Have you shouldered a few 870's (26" vs" 28" barrels)? I know that some like te 26" barrels, but the 28" really balances out the gun very well! Good luck on your quest! |

What is the old saying......? My wife says "Get rid of the guns or I'm leaving"...........sure will miss that girl!
Wise to set those ground rules first.......
As to Gun Broker, you register, place your bid and if you win, have the gun shipped to your local FFL holder. Read the seller's feedback and ask questions prior to buying. |

Sorry, won't sell mine. Worked hard to get one in each choke before the "new" ones came out (did the same w/1100's ). Never did get a IC w/vent rib, but got one w/a matted rib (very old and rare) 26". bought all of mine in pawn shops over the years. Wood wos so bad on 2 that I converted them to upland specials (straight stocks). Love 'em. The mod and full guns are 28" and the ones I usually use when I want a pump; they do swing and carry nicely.
I've seen new ones at various stores while traveling around. You shouldn't have trouble getting the gun you want.
Enjoy! |
