I just recently aquired an 870 wingmaster in 16ga. I called Remington and found out it was built in 1969! It has a full choke barrel. I am currently searching for an additional barrel, but would love to hunt quail and grouse with it come opening day. Laughing Has anyone had any experience with the Spread-r load from Polywad? I have been told that they would open the pattern up at close range. Thanks for any input.

I roll my own, using the Polywad spreader insert, and the Cheddite paper hulls. I shoot them in a 1880's Parker hammer gun choked .020" and .025"
My skeet scores go from 14-15 to 21-22
