I was just searching some of the sites (able ammo, Graffs, Midway) looking at 16 ga ammunition. I noticed there are a number of shells "out of stock" Sounds like a lot of people are shooting the "dead gauge"
I had noticed one site was sold out of the Lightfield sabot slugs. I had forgotten that Ithaca once made a fully rifled barrel. I've never known anyone to have one or have I ever seen one. It's unusual not to see a post about them on this site. Do any of our members own one? They must actually exist since someone is buying ammunition. Does the new Ithaca plan to produce any in 16 ga. |

Locally out of stock means the clown running the ammo department at Rural King was unaware a 16 ga existed and simply didn't order any |

Yes I have them. The Deerslayer around here is the slug gun most everyone uses. The rifled bbls. are great. The old smoothies are good too.
They get year round use here in the farming area |

Have handled fully rifled Ithaca 16 locally. I passed. Any and all deer hunting is with dads 60year old Ithaca-smooth bore. The memories are priceless and accuracy incredible. |
