I've checked the usual suspects locally, and here's what I find: Remington Game Loads, No. 6 shot only, about $5.89 a box. One store also carries some Remington Express in 6, and Federal in 6 and 7 1/2, but these run $10 to $12. Two stores carry Federal steel shot loads in sizes 2 and 4, $15-$18 a box. That's it.

Have you checked Cascade ammo in Roseburg? They were selling PMC #4 shot for $3 earlier this year.

Your best bet might be to order from www.grafs.com. The price you see includes shipping. No real bargains, but at least you have a good selection.

Guys, thanks. I may very well end up ordering from Grafs. I did manage to find some Remington game loads in No. 8 for just under $6 at the local Big 5. We have a Sportsman's Warehouse opening here in November, and I am looking forward to a better selection of shells for the 16 and for the little .410 Bobwhite.

I hope your Sportsman's Warehouse has a better selection of 16 gauge ammo than the one in Chattanooga, Tennessee. About two year old store and the only 16 gauge they handle are the real expensive stuff.

At stores, paying the same here in the Midwest. I'm getting the Win GLs in 8 for $5.99 at a regional big box store. Have two flats of the Rem GLs in 7.5 stashed in my storage closet, plus a flat of Fiocchis in 8, in addition to the the three flats of Rem and Win in 7.5 and 8 next to the fridge.

With the fall here and the stores overstocking on GLs in No. 6, I've been shooting those at state-owned, throw-your-own sites, as the state allows 6 shot. Holding onto the 7.5s and 8s for use at the clubs.
