See below for update and report

Last post for a couple of weeks as I am off to the pheasant hunt. I have "several" boxes of Golden Pheasant #5 for my Uggie grade III 16 that are trying to jump into the chambers, the dogs are laying by the door, the truck is loaded and the Wife is pushing me out the door.(Greg, you almost caused me to get a divorce as you got me all wound up this weekend and I don't leave 'till today).

I will bring pictures back to include in my "After Action" report.

Chorizo, out.

I am back. Dogs are tired, my butt is tired from driving, guns and dogs performed well and I shot the guns like no tomorrow!

Some pictures to follow!

It was a good couple of weeks!

Chorizo,

Where did you go on your trip? I used to live in Boise, and actually had a lot of success hunting around the Parma area. Also, when I lived in Poky I moved a lot of birds south of town between Arimo and Oxford. Those were my younger, dogless days. I'd like to get back that way to give it another whirl now that I am older, wiser, and have a dog.

I went over to Eastern Oregon to hunt as we have a friend with a ranch that borders his brothers farm land. We hunted pheasant and chukar and had some great success at both. The 16 was very effective at all of the birds and I really didn't need to use the 12 ga as there was no noticable difference in effectiveness. I did use the 12 silver hawk to blood it and I shot it as well as the 16 Uggie (just isn't as "sexy" as using a 16ga however).

Here is a photo of one morning's take with one of my dog, Lola
