Tonight for supper:
Took a cast iron dutch oven, added a little oil in the bottom, heated the oil
Sliced an onion and a couple pods of garlic and stirred it around in the oil a while
chopped up a habanero, added to onions, stirred a little more
put 4 quail in the dutch oven on top of the onions and etc.
poured a cup of wine into each of two cups (I used a blush)
put 1 of the cups of wine into the pot with the quail and onions
added a jar of mangos and the liquid ( 2/3 liter size,a little less than 24 ounces, these came from Peru, according to the label)
added some garlic salt, some comino, and some liquid habanero sauce (this sauce from Beliz, sez to the label)
Turn fire under dutch overn down to low, covered
Drank the second cup of wine
Checked after about an hour and a little more, looked ok
made a box of Uncle Ben wild rice
Put some rice on a plate
Put a quail, a mango half and some onions on the rice
Ate it
Repeated the part about putting rice on plate and adding quail
turned out ok
