If someone has a Ballistic Products wad in the Trap Commander style, would you please take your caliper and measure the powder seal/cup ring/area and tell me the diameter.
Many Thanks.

I gathered from the item description the wad base was .665, which would seem correct and be good for me but I called and got a measurement of .635 on the phone.
Just need a fellow reloader to sort it out for me. |

Dads A5,
I'll put the calipers on some in the morning, since it's already 9:30 here and to damn cold for a walk to the loading room, it's in the barn
Keeps me out of her hair so to speak.
In the Morning

The SG-16 wad, the Trap Commander, and the Field Commander wads, are all .665" dia.
You may find that these wads will bulge the case of the RGL. |

Dads A5,
I finally got to the loading room and checked the lot of wads I had and here's my findings
-B&P(trapcommander) .655" - .657"
-Gulandi 2116 .660" - .662"
-Rem R16 .627" - .629"
Hope this helps and if you would like to try any of the above just PM me

I hope every 16 reloader in the world reads this post.
If this was all you had to go on, and your findings are similar to mine, you would realize how easy it is to have a powder migration problem, in some hulls with some powder, but it is still published as being ok.
