What's up with you Brits,
Here Im reading about English 2" 12 gauges and I come here to find that you might want to try the old 16 bore 
I must warn you the 16 gauge is very addicting, you will find the gauge hard to leave.
I have shot a great deal of English 16 gauge ammunition and I must say many brands in the UK recoils pretty hard. I would stay away from the Gamebore and Eley ammo if the gun was sub 6 pounds. The best British 16 gauge ammunition is Lyalvale.
As far as finding a light 16 gauge you need to look no further than a good old Birmingham gun. Better grab one quick before on of your savvy dealers sends more of them over here.
