To all on the board,
I am looking for a reload for clays that will recycle an A-5. I have three or four wads and have remington, winchester, federal. fiochi and maybe some other cases. What have others used in their A-5's? Thanks in advance. Larry |

I have a couple of A-5's but haven't shoot them yet.
I was told anything around 1200 FPS should cycle the action.
Others will be along with more specific answers. |

I have reloaded RGL's with 1 oz @ about 1200 fps for my Sportsman 48, which is supposed to be very close to the same action as an A-5. They cycle fine. |

I reload the 2 9/16 hulls with 24 gr Longshot, a BP Z16 wad, 1 oz shot and a 0.03" overshot card, fold crimp. Cycles A-5's both 2 9/16 and 2 3/4 with minimal recoil on the heavy ring setting. The original recipe called for 27 gr Longshot, which worked, but thumped pretty good for extended clay shooting. |

To all who replied, Thanks. Maybe Jeff could jump in here. He is the one who know about A-5's. Larry |
