Be sure to mark your calendars for the 8th Annual World Vintage Skeet Championships to be held at the Lake Oconee Shooting Club, located 45 miles East of Atlanta, Georgia.
http://www.lakeoconeeshootingclub.com/news.htm
There is a special 16 gauge only event being offered on Thursday, April 10th. This will be a 50 target skeet race for pump guns or SxS's of any era.
Vintage Skeet rules apply--that means you must call for the target with the gun below the armpit, and you cannot mount the gun until the target emerges, controlled by a 0-3 second variable release. Shooting sequence and target speed are regular skeet.
Special awards are being supplied by the 16 Ga. Society.
Also note that there are is a game gun event and an all gauge event that you may wish to consider. Reloads are permitted.
Complete electronic programs available upon request. |

This shsoot could be used as a warm up for the Southern SxS Event as well.
This is a great venue--should be an opportunity to shoot the new RBL as well since C.S.M.C. is the signature sponsor.
Don't forget the special 16 gauge Society event as well. This event is a 50 bird shoot. Also, the game gun event offers another shooting opportunity.
If you are in the area--stop by! |

Sounds like great fun. Wish I could attend but East of Atlanta is a little stretch for me.
Sure wish something along these lines could be worked up around Missouri/Illinois or even Oklahoma or east Kansas.
We have a couple very nice ranges but all I ever here about for these shoots is out east or the deep south.
I hope who ever attends takes some pictures and posts them afterward. |

I would be happy to send you some of our local programs that you could show to your local clubs. Perhaps all they need is a nudge to startg a local program? |

Thanks...that would be good.
I will then talk to some of the local operations and see what they can do.
