I also have two Baikal O/U's. One 16 gauge and a 12 gauge. I've not had a problem with either one. Here's a link that may interest some.

Hello, I have a Baikal 16 gauge and have added a set of 12 gauge barrels that I got off Ebay while they were still selling barrels. The gun is very sturdy and I use it for testing various ammo before using it in the older guns. Enjoy the day, Mike

Is the 16ga Baikal built on a true 16ga frame or on a 12ga frame?

Not to argue but I have an SPR-220 20ga built on a 20ga frame. I compared it side by side with a 12ga SPR-220.

I HAVE A 16GA SINGLE SHOT THAT SURE LOOKS TO HAVE A SMALLER FRAME THAN MY SON'S 12 GA SXS BAIKAL. BOTH ARE NICE GUNS.

Haven't seen newer ones, but the ones I saw in Europe while living there were reminiscent of battle axes of the middle ages. Great as back up canoe paddles.

You must have snuck over from Shotgun World. You're not really funny either.
