I just bought a 16 featherweight and have a old 12 silverhawk? ..

It looks like they are both built on a 12 ga frame...Any idea if I could combine them to have a single one w/ 12 and 16 barrels?

Try the barrels and see how close they are to fitting.
Anything can be made to fit, if you wish to spend the money. Wink

Hello, Put the 16 gauge barrels on the 12 gauge frame. Do they close with out undue force? Are they on face? Does the forend fit?, If all these work out in that order, will the gun open easily? If the answer is yes, then load the gun with two primed cases. No loaded ammo yet. Will the firing pins set off the primers? Will the gun open easily? Some Silver Hawk have extractors and some ejectors. What do you have? Will the extractors extract and the ejectors eject the fired hulls? If so, press on from there. Sometimes, you can also go the other way and see if the 12 guage barrels will fit the 16 guage action. Enjoy the day, Mike

I'm late to the question and am interested in the outcome. I have 16ga 409,411, and a SilverHawk and have had 12ga. in the same. So far the ones I have had are not interchangeable. The 16 is one frame the 12 is larger and the 20 is smaller. The only time beretta used the same frame(in my experience) was the 424. I have a 12,16 and 20. I can swap stocks between them. I had used this to indicate they used the same 16ga frame for all three. Never had a desire to swap barrels. Hva you tried the barrel swap yet?
Best,
Ron
