I need to sell this gun. It just does not fit me right. It is an 11-48 with a 28" plain barrel and fixed modified choke. The wood has the pressed checkering with no splits or cracks. It looks like it has been refinished at some point, probably many years ago. The metal is in good shape with no rust and very little freckling. It has the sling studs on it and a Pachmeyer recoil pad fitted on it. This gun functions perfectly. I called Remington and was told the gun was manufactured in 1958. I will take $225 for it plus shipping to your FFL. If you live near NW Arkansas, a face to face might be possible. I can email some pictures if you are interested. |

Sorry to see you have to sell it Arfly.
My recently aquired 11-48 fits me nicely. It may be my go-to gun for dove in a few weeks
Someone out there is about to get a nice shooting gun. Mine sure is. The recoil I heard about is negligable, not the mule that I was led to believe. |

I replied via email to cbhd. For the others who have replied on this gun, I do not know how to post pics on here. If you can PM me your email addresses, or PM me on how to post pics and I can get them to you. As for the measurements, Here is what I have. I am not a professional at this, but they should be close.
LOP= 14"
DAC= 1 1/2"
DAH= 2 3/8" |

Folks, this is a steal at $225.
I went to the Greensboro Gun Show (NC) yesterday and saw about 5 11-48s.
1 12
1-20
1-28
1-.410
1-16
The cheapest was the 16 and 20 at $450 each.
The 12 was mint at $550. The .410 was $750. The 28 won at $950.
The 16 I saw was not as good looking as Arfly's. The 12 was pretty nice though. It was truly a mint gun. NIB
I saw no Rem 31s in any gauge
and no Browning DAs to shoulder in any gauge
The 16 was sparsley represented throughout. |
