Has anyone had any experience with Solo 1250. the BP data looks as if it would be pretty good for 7/8 and 1 oz. Loads.

Thanks

Joe

I like Solo 1250. I use it in 15/16 oz. and 1 oz. loads out of my old double. Low pressure and good velocity.

I don't really know as I don't pay much attention to how "clean" a powder burns. One of my doubles is 126 years young (rebarreled in 1940) so I'm more concerned with pressure and velocity. The Solo 1250 will give me a velocity around 1,150 fps with pressure under 7,000 lbs in a 15/16 oz load. Nice and easy on the old girl! Also, when a gun gets shot, the gun gets cleaned. A dirty powder may effect a finicky gas operated autoloader after a lot of rounds, however, I don't have one of those.

No Joe Solo 1250 burns a bit dirty in moderate loads, probably about the same as Unique but unless you are shooting an auto-loader that is prone to having gas port problems it shouldn't really matter if there is any residue left in the barrels. You are going to clean the barrels anyway aren't you?
