Sorry, can't report on peformance of nice shot. Didn't shoot any this week.
Just never got to it!
Had a good week, my brother and I shot our limits four days in a row, including a few bonus sharp tails and a hun. Had to come home early.
Have to do some things around the house today, then I will try some Neb pheasants Sunday. The place I am thinking about going is non-toxic, and I think I will give those nice shot loads a try then.
I can comment on my #7 and #5 1/2 1 oz loads. The #7 had X-stream speader insert. They worked great.
I can also say, I shot a pheasant and drove the the Z16 wad right up under his wing. Dug the wad out while cleaning the bird. (Yes he was close. flushing away from my brother and at the angle he was flying probably getting closer to me) Never done that before.
I also used a few Fiocchi Golden Pheasant loads I left over from last season, they sure seem to penetrate well. I have no problem using those loads. |
