This has probably been discussed prior to the time I joined the forum, so please bare with me if I repeat something already covered.

I have reloaded 12 ga. for many years. When I started in the early '80s, I was told the Win AA was the very best hull to reload. Since that time the AAs have really gone downhill with the intoduction of the HS with the seperate plastic base wad and flimsy hull plastic. Remington's have now become my hull of choice for 12 ga.

With that said, what is the best available (in terms of getting quality crimps and number of reloads) hull to reload in 16 ga.?

Further, as I live in the country and have to order almost everything from online sources, where/who is the best place to purchase those hulls, either as new ammo or once fired?

I know there is likely to be some disagreement as to what's the best, but I would appreciate all feedback.

Thanks.

My favorite are the Cheddite hulls from www.grafs.com

Best hulls ?

Brass, I shoot them in my SXS 16's and my Winchester 97/16 made in 1940. I keep the shells seperate. Hammer Double shells W/209 primers for the double guns. And the Magtech shells for the 97. I also have 10 of the very best brass shells made, By; Rocky Mountain Cartridge Company.

Lots of hand work, but very rewarding. And very Coooool to shoot. Wink

I am retired so I have the time. Smile

Lefty Dude, can you give a brief description on the process on loading those brass hulls? I think they would work well in my short chambered Parker.

Would like to use the 10ga brass too. Would just like to know how.
What powder or load data are you using?
