A pair of very fine Double Auto's for sale. I know they are not 16's, but maybe the next best thing. One Twelvette and one Twentyweight. Both with vent ribs. Twelvette is bored IC and the Twentyweight is bored Mod. Excellent shape==perfect bores and mechanics and original finish. Seling as a pair for $1375 delivered in the lower 48. If you are looking for a couple of real good ones.....here they are. Email wdavis8679@aol.com for pix or call--609-658-7739. Thank you. |

nid-28:
What are the receiver colors? Does either one of them have a recoil pad?
Thanks,

Redeye, I don't understand your question. The photos are of the two Brownings offered for sale in this ad by NID-28. |

Sorry I missed them too. My Granddad had a 20-weight and it was the first gun I used to take a limit of South Texas Mourning Dove when I was about 14. I can't remember if it was a plain barrel or not. He had the trading gene (I come by it honestly I guess) and I never got to shoot it again. If one comes out in 16ga with better stock dimensions I'll be in line to buy one.

Sorry, I'm confused! Nice guns.
As an aside, I kind of liked the gloss finish Browning used in those days. The layer of plastic they put on stuff now, well... Anyone happen to know what they used for a finish back then? |

They used an oil modified varnish. It is very similar to what is known now as spar varnish.
