For sale is a nice browning 1950 sweet sixteen FN stamped gun with the front safety.(i have been told by some that this is a 1950 gun, but according to the browning website this is a 1952 gun)
28" MOD choke matted barrel. Gun has a 14 3/8 LOP and nice blondish colored wood(wood is a little lighter colored than the pics show. there is a 1" repaired crack in the forend. serial # X37065.
This gun is a shooter and has honest wear including some freckling in spots on the barrel. it looks like it could be easily polished off as it isnt deep. I try to accurately describe my items and provide good pics so email me if you have any questions. $30 shipping to your FFL $740 OBO.

Your gun was made in 1950 according to the serial number and the Blue Book of Gun Values. All 1952 guns had rear safeties.

According to Shirley and Vanderlinden in "Browning Auto-5 Shotguns, The Belgian FN Production", serial number X-35835 date in warehouse was 6/30/50. Serial number X-43700 date in warehouse was 12/31/50. The safety was changed from the front of the trigger guard to a cross-bolt safety around August, 1951 (according to the same book). |
