I am hoping for some ideas from the group for a hunting load with a limited choice of components. I'm shooting in modern firearms, recoil and pressure is not a problem (as a member of the LPG I have other useful low pressure recipes) and will be shooting lead.
The load would be around 1 1/8 oz using Unique powder (access to powder is my greatest constraint) and ideally Fiocchi hulls of which I have a large number in 2 3/4. Could also get Federal purple or Cheddite 2 3/4. I have SP16 wads but can import a different wad from the States if necessary.
The only factory load that is available here in 1 1/8 is the Federal but only in size 6 shot; I prefer something larger - 4 or 5 - for lethality.
So my ideal load would be with:
Fiocchi hull
Fiocchi 616 or Win209 primer
Unique powder
Rem SP16 wad
Is there a proven load out there with these components? If not, what can I do by changing the least number of components and sticking with Unique powder?
Many thanks

Thanks spr310 - what is the Alliant 1998 reference? Is that the manual it came from?
Thanks
