I bought a hundred of these things just to have some down for loading my damascus load with , man they are crappy , I cant believe never fired hulls can be so junky , about every 3rd one it tries to crumple in the lower part of it , if you are reallt easy it wont but the crimp comes back open , I just started putting some cardboard wads over the shot helped a little but it was not fun ,T |

You're probably trying to stuff too much into the hull. |

Well I thought that at first but I used the 1/2 in rule an the exact same thing I do with the black hulls that come out perfect everytime , if i leave off the wad over the shot it pushes the crimp into the shot an opens reverse where the shot come out , T |

11 .3 grains of unique , with a thin CB wad over the powder the a 1 1/8 oz shot cup with a 1/4 in cb wad on top the shot , I was putting it under the shot to make the room up becaue I only use 7/8 oz of actual shot for my damascus ithica , it is about like a glorified 410 to shoot , but I dont like shooting to heavy in then gun , I sometimes also load some of the BP substitute in it an leave out all the wads , it tends to burn up the hulls though , I use a lee loader , nothin special but have allways has great luck with them set em up an leave em for 1 gun , I shoot factory stuff in my american arms 16 , T |

CB,
Not much in the way of adjustments on the Load-All I assume you're using.
Try leaving out the overpowder cardboard card, mebbe try using an 8pt crimp instead of the 6pt head on the LoadAll? I've used the Midway hulls, they're Cheddites, should have a coupla' stars on the base of the hull, never had a problem with 'em. Or try shortening the wad petals, trim an 1/8" off them and see if that helps.
Keep fiddling!
