I have some purple Estate game load hulls. Upon an eyeball inspection, these look identical to the purple federal hull. My question is, are they the same (interchangeable) and are these hulls made by federal?

Thanks,
Cameron

Cut one of each in half and take some measurements.

You can answer your own question and help the rest of us.

Didn't think of that dogchaser37. Good plan, I'll do as you suggest and report back.

Yes they are the same, made in the same factory in Anoka, MN. Estate is owned by Federal.

Right on the money Square Load. The two present hulls are identical for all intensive purposes.

It is intents and purposes.

Sorry, it's a pet peeve.

Also, points are never mute.

They are moot points.

Carry on.

GrouseHunter,

If you get his knickers in a twist, you will end up wanting to strangle him.

Pretty soon we will be forming a line.

The line starts behind me.

Grouse Hunter,
You know, with all my intense purpose, you're right, I've never heard a mute point. Laughing

Yup. Short on coffee and long on yawns this morning. However, I hear that some swans are mute. So I guess a conversation with one would be moot. Is that not astute?

Oh yeah! and DC, go cr#p in your boot. Razz Razz Razz Razz . Cool

Mine was not mute but would remain silent if she was on point or working a bird. She was a quiet dog in the field anyway. However, she'd occasionally raise a ruckus if she thought she had cause, especially around the house. She also would vocalize to me occasionallly for attention, but almost never while hunting.
