Selling a nice shooter quality Standard 16ga A5. This is a 28" MOD barrel gun. Gun functions great, runs Remington Game Loads with friction rings set to high just fine. This is a nice little gun for the field, just time to trim down the gun cabinet.
Gun has honest wear on metal with thinning on hard edges and underside of the receiver. Screw heads have bluing thinned as well. The screws have NOT been buggered, and it looks like one may have been replaced. Gun has swivels installed, but I don't know if they're factory.
Worst place is a 1"x1" patch on barrel where bluing is worn as if it were "scraped", but the metal was not effected. The metal is NOT scratched, not sure how this was caused. Rest of metal shows a few rub marks and normal wear for a field gun.
The forearm has a minor crack that I repaired with Acraglass. It's been holding fine and is not easily visible. The gun appears to have original finish, with some flaking but nothing unusual. Some dents and knicks as would be expected in an honest wear field gun. Gun does have original horn buttplate that has some wear, but is not worm eaten. Serial number is R1172.
