It's my understanding this first run of wads will not be Biodegradable.
When they do start with the disolving wads, they will have a 2 year shelf life. |

i'm sure shear volume has something to do with pricing. of course they make a zillion 12ga. wads vs. a few 100,000 16ga. i got mine in from Recob's yesterday and loaded a few boxes and will test at the pattern board tomorrow. they loaded great in the Cheddite hulls. many thanks to Mr. Hammack. we need more do'ers like him around. |

Gentlemen, the man's name is Charles not Nick. It is a bit rude to talk about someone and not even get his name right.
As soon as loading data become available for the new wad I will buy some. That's my nickel's worth. |

Hi Art,
My understanding is that the wads have data with them.
Charles or Nick, Mr Hammack answers to both. |

To the 16ga followers he is just jolly old ST NIck. The latest present is just a little late, never a disapointment.
Thanks for the effort and the sucess.

Mark's right, Nick and Charles are the same guy with the same 16ga guns.
I'll hold off on buying the new wads, right when I finally go through the last of 5k R-16's and 2k 2116's. They're going away, but not quickly enough!! That 5k case takes up a fair amount of room, and for a pack rat like me it's tight.
I've cut a bunch of Winchester/Australia hulls to 2.5" and they make up great 3/4oz and 7/8oz loadings with 2116's, the full length Rem GL hulls set me up with nice 7/8oz rounds using the R-16's. With any luck the DR wad will have us able to load that range without shortening hulls. Looking forward to them!

KGB,
You won't have to shorten hulls anymore, or add filler.
The new wads work perfect.
Look for the topic "New Downrange 16 Gauge Wad" on this forum I have included some pictures of stuff I have loaded with the wad.
You will be smiling!! |
