I'm about to send a huge shipment of loads for testing to Tom Armbrust, and thought I might include a few loads with the new DR16 wad. I don't want to duplicate efforts, so I thought I would ask if anyone has sent in the following loads for testing:
1) 7/8 oz, 18 gr Greendot
2) 7/8 oz, 22 gr Universal
3) 3/4 oz, 19 gr Greendot
All 3 loads using a Blue Cheddite Hull and Win209, and the DR16 wad.
I thought I would ask before I spent the money. These are all very fast loads...and might end up being over pressure.
Thanks. |

Hi Bowbuilder,
Thanks, for posting the loads you are having tested. I was going to send that exact load of Universal.
Have you chronographed that load, if so how fast was it? |

I haven't sent them yet...but I wanted to check with everyone here before I did. No reason in testing a load someone else already has.
The velocities on my chrono was as follows:
1) 7/8 oz, 18 gr Greendot: 1325 fps
2) 7/8 oz, 22 gr Universal: 1402 fps
3) 3/4 oz, 19 gr Greendot: 1344 fps
Now, these aren't averages...just a single shell. And my Chrono sometimes gives some weird numbers...but these look right. |

Yup the Universal one does, because the recoil level was about the same as my 1300 FPS 1 oz load, Thanks, BB. |
