Just got my new 16 ga. MEC. set up, and I am getting alot of brass filings,(dust) from the resizing.

I have reloaded quite abit but have never had a new loadeder like this.

Also noticing some swelling on the fiochhi hulls. cheddite not so much

I amfollowinng the load,and it is a low preasureload,,(below 8,000 PSI-and below 1200 FPS.

GUN IS 106 YRS OLD, seems to lock up perfectly and tight,

I was hoping that somme of you that work on the older guns may have some ideas.....streached chamber maybe?.........head of modern casing slightly thiner?

Any help appreciated,thanks BRUCE

Had the same thing happen in another gauge-with a MEC Jr-the resizing ring was oversizing the metal-a quick call to MEC solved the problem with another ring --at no charge-- www.mecreloaders.com
