While looking ofer loads on the LOW PREASURE spread sheet, I see that there is referance made to the type of CHEDDITE HULL that was used.
I am in need of more hulls and plan to place an order @ GRAFS, my question being; is there any difference of benifit to the high base,(HIGH BRASS) the load that I like best is in a RST HULL, and I am wondering if RST is using this hull that maybe there is a reason.
I am loading for a 2 1/2" gun, and It would be easier to buy the short hulls, but if there is some benifit to the HIGH BRASS the extra work won't kill me.
thanks in advance BRUCE |

Bruce,
Actually I find the low brass easier to use and resize, no ballistic benefit one way or the other, and from memory they're a tad cheaper. I don't bother with "high brass" unless you want a quick visual check on a specific load. I believe the RST's are Cheddites.
Cheers,

I would second that. I use the different brass as a quick ref to whether I have a phez load or quail load in my hand. (or lead/non-toxic) |

Just wanted to thank everybody for their response,I don"t know where a person would even go to get answers to these questions.
I saw on a post a while back someone crowing about the 20 bucks spent on the LPG, thinking that he didn't get much for his money.
I just want RUSS and everyone to know I appreciate the help,(I put Russ through 20.oo of aggravation with my computer issues at the time)
I ordered some of the 2 1/2" ched. and some of the paper.
I plan on roll crimping some paper loads 7/8s oz and sending to TOM, will get the results to RUSS.
THANKS AGAIN BRUCE |
