I just picked up some 16 ga. ammo at Wal-Mart - 1 oz, 7 1/2 Remington Game Loads, $5.97. It seemed like a pretty good score. What do you think? |

BPGuy -
My local WalMart does not even carry them, but the store in the next town is selling them for $ 6.47 per box.
The Academy in Joplin, MO is selling Feds for $6.69 per box.
From my point of view you got a good buy. |

That's the only 16 ammo our Mall Wart ever carries, $5+ a box. It's only 1200 fps (if that) and I get a clunker every 40-50 shells. But reasonable for a day of clays or whatever.

I pick up the Rem. Game Loads at Dick's around here for right at $5.00 a box when on sale. They shoot good for me. I like the 7 1/2's for dove and 6's for squirrel and rabbits. I haven't seen any 16 gauge shells at the Wal-Marts around here. But I do get 28 gauge shells from them all the time. |

I'd love to find some of those Remington Game Loads for $5 to $6 a box. I don't believe the Wally Worlds around my area know what a 16-gauge shell is. |

I would love to pickup any box for under $10. Wally World has express loads for $20 and the gun shops have mostly 4s. Sometime I get lucky and find a box of Federal Game loads for $10. Otherwise I just reload. |

I also saw some #6 1 1/8 oz "High Brass" hunting loads, priced at $11.97 or so each. A bit more than I was ready to spend at the moment... |
