Bought the last two flats of Remmy GL's today at Rural King--$6.99 a box Rolling Eyes 12's and 20's were $6.49 a box----With the current craze over ammo and reloading components I figured the price would not go any lower--Just seems crazy to see prices jump 50 plus % in less than a one year period---Makes me wonder what's in store for us in the near future Embarassed Evil or Very Mad Shocked

Talk about a storm coming--I was at the local Fish & Wildlife shooting range today (about 35 firing points, open-air but with a concrete roof and walkways, 10-50 yd. firing points, 6-100 yd. firing points, the balance is handgun range; $4.00 for all day !) There I ran into a really nice fellow I've seen many times; an African American veteran and retired Illinois State Policeman who loves to shoot, and he told me something interesting...

We got to discussing ammo prices and he remarked that ammo was bad enough, but what really concerned him was that the current administration was indeed after our firearms, and would seriously attempt to curtail or abolish their use. He stated unequivocally that between the President and the Attorney General (Eric Holder, an "understudy" of Janet Reno's he says) we are in great danger of losing our right to bear arms. "He is not rational about this" was the statement this man made...all things considered, I found it to be a very disquieting remark...

We can prattle on about "best loads for doves", "what wad is best to use in a Cheddite hull", and "is the Parker a better 16 ga. SxS than the Beretta" all we collectively wish to, but I wonder if there isn't a gigantic elephant in the room that sooner or later we MUST pay attention to.....Happy 4th of JULY--enjoy it while you can...

It truly amazes me that some people are just starting to learn what our new Liberal/ Progressive/ Socialist/ Communist leadership has in mind for us. Some of us have known this for past two years. The Obama Campaign did one of the best jobs of pulling the wool over everyone's eyes that has ever been done last year in regards to the Second Amendment. Obama for sportsmen? I believe in the Second Amendment? Yeah right.

The best thing you can do to help stop this is to join the NRA. They are the single best hope we have for saving our Constitutional rights. Of course if you only get your news from the three major news networks, ABC, NBC & CBS, plus the AP, you have probably been brainwashed into thinking the NRA is a bunch of radical right extremist red necks. Nothing is farther from the truth.

I think it is an absolute disgrace that there are 80-90 MILLION gun owners in this country and only 4 million of them treasure their Second Amendment rights enough to belong to the NRA. There is one thing polititians listen to and that is numbers. The NRA is possibly the strongest lobby in Washington. Just think what they could be if more gun owners took their freedoms more seriously.

Very well said. 80 million just sit on there butts and let 4 million take care of it for them. When we lose our 2nd amendment rights they will be the first to ask where was the NRA? Get active and stay active.

Here is the really scary part for me. With the current Congress and Administration it seems that they don't give a damn what the people want they are going to ram their agenda through no matter what. Just look at the Stimulus swindle, Cap and Tax and next Teddy Care medical insurance.

True we need to make a stand now but need to be prepared to repeal this nonsense after the 2010 and 2012 elections.

Have you all got all the change you can stand yet?
