Looking at vises for roll crimping. The two that I'm looking at are from Precision Reloading & Ballistic Products. In your experience, which is better and for what reasons?

Also, if you've found a better way than what is commercially available, let me know. I'm fairly handy and could probably throw something together my self with a little help.

Thanks.

I know this is a bit out of the box, but a MEC Supersizer is the best shotshell vice going.

You can buy other collets if you need to change gauges, it holds shotshells better than any vice, the base makes a good clamping point, for whatever machine you need to mount it on and it does resize shotshells correctly.

My Bridgeport Gun Implement roll crimp tools come complete with shell holder so I have no use for a vice. If I did I would use DCs recommendation, those supersizers are damn hand for roll crimp guys.

MEC Supersizer; works great, easy change over and resizes to boot.

I made one using a toggle clamp from Grizzly or Harbor Freight, I forget which, and a couple wood scraps. Total investment of about 8 bucks. Works great.

Another vote for the Supersizer.
