Topcat, sounds like we have the same experiences with the DR. some do bulge back a little. As much as i like a perfect crimp, as long as it holds shot it in it must be a good crimp. |

Good info guys thanks for the tips. I plan on using this wad at some point so I just wanted some tips on loading it also to hear about all the little quirks and how people deal with them. Thanks again. |

Sorry Pudelpointer that I have not gotten to answering your questions sooner , I am waiting on the concrete guys right now and have a few minutes so here goes .
I designed the DR16 wad to work with 18 gram (5/8) , 19.5 gram (11/16) , and 21 gram (3/4) but it will work with the 23 gram (13/16) loads in the Remington Game load Hull it was never intended to work with the 24 gram (7/8) in that hull , kinda like putting a ten pounds of sand in a five pound sack , just doesnt work well .
The 24 gram (7/8) is to be used in the Cheddite , Federal , Fiocchi , the larger capacity hulls it also works very well with the 21, and 23 gram loads .
To address the wad going into the loader , one has to tilt the wad , place the shotcup on the ram and then swing the base of the wad into alignment with the wad guide , just a simple step to compleat for the wad is so long but once done it becomes second nature .
I have an annoucement coming this weekend soon as I get time , gotta go for the concrete guys are here already .
Hope this helps !
Regards , Charles |
