skeettx,
It is extractors for sure. The older Silver Hawk model or the 409 didn't have ejectors. After looking closely it would appear the 16ga is a MDL 409. The SilverHawks were 1964 and later, while the 409 was 1934 to 1964. I look at GB and found the weight at 6lb 4oz. Nice shotgun, if I didn't have a couple already I would be looking harder. It is normal for the earlier mdls to be a little lighter. The Silver Hawk is normally 6.5 to 6.75 lbs. in weight.
Best,
Ron

I notice it has the Greener locking bolt like a Merkel. Nice gun, but I'm up to my eyeballs in 16 Ga.s right now Laughing Laughing

nobody bid on it. Will probably be relisted..... maybe with a lower listed opening bid???. Bears watching for anyone interested. The 16 ga silverhawk is a nice gun to have in any collection.

As I said, I am up to my eyeballs in 16's and actually have a Silver Hawk in the 20 bore, but I'd almost buy this thing just because of the great deal. This gun does not appear to have been used hardly at all.

I guess I could hack saw the other trigger off ---- Laughing Laughing

That is a solid looking gun and attractive, would be a nice one to own. For anyone that hasn't offered up a gun for sale on Gunbroker, they are set up to allow the seller to keep rolling the same auction after it closes--I used to wonder why guns were re-listed with no change, week after week. The logic appears to be that a lot of shoppers will check in only occasionally, or if they're like me, slow to commit the money and it'll take a few beatings over the head with a nice gun before it's bought.
