Can anyone give me information on a model I'm not familiar with. I found an Ithaca model 1 1/2 in 16 bore with damascus bbls. The frame is engraved with the art deco style of the Flues model. I fell in lust with this gun, but I'm not familiar with it. Can you help with any information?

Is this the type of gun you are mentioning, but yours is in 16 gauge?

Ithaca made approx. 223,000 Flues between 1908-1925. LC Smith made more guns but that total includes hammer guns. There's a fine article in Double Gun Journal, Volumn 13, issue 3, Autumn 2002 that spells it all out.

Do buy Walt Snyder's " The Ithaca Gun Co.- From the Beginning". It's a priceless source of imformation to the Ithaca afficianado.

Brent, the Flues Quality 1 1/2 meant that it had Damascus Steel barrels rather than the Twist Steel used on the Quality 1. Later the Quality 1 1/2 had Fluid Steel barrels and the Quality 1 had Nitro Steel barrels.
Made from 1898 to 1919. The large leaf engraving is added in 1915.

The floral engraving was introduced on the No. 1 1/2 in 1915 --

The Flues will have the short chamber most likely, but you probably already know that
