I recieved a couple hundred Activ 100% plastic 16 GA hulls as part of a trade. Where might I find reload data? I am rather skeptical about the plastic rim also, will they eject OK from an A-5 and 11-48?
Can I expect more than 1 loading from these unfired hulls? They are definately a straight sided hull. |

I have an old Activ loading phamplet, I will dig it out
As to the rim, there is a steel washer inside and it will eject fine
Yes, you should get more than one loading from these hulls

The Active phamphlet, no go on loads for 16 gauge
The Lyman Shotshell Handbook 4th Edition, good loads for the Activ hull

I have quite a few loads for the activ hull if anybody wants them. Email me at phyle98@yahoo.com and I'll get them to you. |

Those Activs are very reloadable, you will get 7 or 8 reloads out of them.
I have used Activs in my Sweet 16 and my 1100. no ejection problems. That plastic rim has a metal ring molded into it. It is stronger than most shotshell rims.
If you have problems getting data, I have some. Just let me know. |

You'll get a bunch of reloads from them. I loaded a bunch when shooting 20ga in a BPS Upland and an LT-20 Special (1100). The main thing to watch for will be the tapered wall and the wads that will fit and if unfired I found getting the first fold crimp to start was tricky but after that go to go. As I remember they didn't like being roll crimped. Really enjoyed not having to resize.
Good luck, Mike |

I have inserted a sheet with the Activ loads in one of my spreadsheets. Just click on the top link at the bottom of my post and you will find about 175 loads for the Activ hull.
The different hulls are listed on the top, just click on the type of hull you want. |

I agree that the hulls were good to work with, but my citori and the win 24 (the two 16's I had at the time) would not pattern any load that I tried in them. And I tried a bunch. |

Dave,
Yes, if you have been peeking into my kitchen AGAIN!!
I find them a great filler, biodegradable, when I wish to use
vintage (FREE) wads just to use them up while shooting skeet.
I find no down side as the pressures are low and the performance is
super.
Now I would NEVER suggest that you try them in any of your efforts.
But they suit my needs.
Free wads are a joy to my heart
Come to Texas and let's play
Are you really serious about this hunting swap thing???????????

I'm more of a raisin bran or granola crunch kind of guy, though cheerios have their place. My dog goes nuts for them.
On the hunting swap thing - it seems like it's starting to develop into something, though (a) it will take some time and effort to develop and (b) we have plenty of time to develop it. |

Just bought a bunch of new and fired once activ hulls in 16 and 12 as part of a bunch of mostly 16 gauge reloading componets on a local classified ad site.
