Sorry I can’t add link at the moment, but Browning just added a Superlight Feather 16 and a 525 Field 16 to the website as ShotShow specials!!! Right on!! |

Just checked it out. No specs for the 525 field. List only a 28 gauge. That said, Wow. Two attractive choices. |

My Superlight Feather weighs 6 Lb 5 oz, the shot show version is listed at 6-2.
Mine is all blued, including the receiver, Shot Show version - silver receiver.
I've had some inertia block issues - hope this issue has that remedied....
All in all, after having the stock bent & fitted, my Feather fits me like a glove.
Shooting 1 1/8 oz. #5's at 1400+ FPS, the recoil is no problem.
Take home message - if this sweetheart interests you, BUY ONE. |

If yours has a blued receiver then it’s a Superlight, not a Superlight Feather. Two different guns.
I personally like the looks of the blued receiver myself. |

Wow - I've had the thing three years now and always thought it was a Superlight Feather. Looked at paperwork - wrong.......
Actually prefer the blued also, so guess I got lucky
.....Illustrates that I AM a hunter first, and a shotgun guy somewhere lower down the order...... |

Superlight Feather in 16 lists as Invector Plus choke system, wonder if that is a typo.
To my knowledge all the other Browning O/U 16ga offerings over the years have all been standard invector? |

If they would put DT's on the superlight feather, they would already have my money! (And oil finish the wood please..)
Still considering one with the ST, it is about pound lighter than my 525. Had a Feather/Upland 20ga (Steel receiver) which was a very decent bird gun at 6.3 lbs. Let it go, as I have almost exclusively moved to SxS/DT/16ga as a preference. Have not shot the 525 this season, iirc. Ugartechea and Marlin 90 seem to be getting the birds just fine. |

ShotShow edition does say ‘gloss oil finish’ on SF |

I’m rather disappointed with the Shot Show specials; I was hoping for a high grade Sweet and/or a 16ga 725. |

I think we ought to be thrilled that the Superlight Feather and the 525 were even offered. As ammo sale indicate, there is not a whole lot of demand for any 16 gauge. Imagine what the manufactures must feel like when they do introduce something new and we just lament that it's not this or not that. Heck, the Superlight even has 28" barrels, the cataloged 12 and 20 only had 26". I for one, am pleased. |

My 16ga Citori SLF has been one of my “go to” bird guns for years. |

I saw this yesterday. It's going to cost me money. |
