Sounds like you had a brief mild case of buyer's remorse.
Personally, I think it's exactly right. It has a strong stock with enough figure to catch and satisfy your eye, but not so much that looks like a museum piece and other people gawk at it and you are thinking about it and not the pleasure of shooting.
A few years from today, you will look at your gun and wish you had ten more just like it.
And later on, you will enjoy it so much you will keep it all to yourself and shoot it all the time and won't even bother to show it off to strangers because you like it so much.

| Gran's in 16 bore are very scarce. The only other time they made them years ago, there were 100 guns produced--50 in 26" and 50 in 28". Hang on to yours--it's a beauty and will be a terrific shooter. BD |

| I was disappointed when I heard they were going to do them in this run, but I guess with so few made, it won't hurt the value of mine. I lucked out and the place where I got mine had two to pick from. First was kinda plain, second I fell in love with immediately. |

| Wow, I haven't posted here in a long time. I remember this thread and I can say I still shake my head a bit at this Gran. It is so plain-looking. Never again will I purchase a high end gun sight unseen.. |

Can’t be that bad, it’s been twelve years since you bought it.
Actually tells me that a 16ga Citori is probably a nice gun.

| I bought a citori lightening with grade 3 wood, gorgeous, pissed some people off when I had it cut to install an adjustable comb, at first felt a little guilty, but screw them I now have a great looking trap gun. anyway don`t worry about the wood, if you shoot it great thats all that counts. |

| I’ve got a white lightning with really nice wood, luck of the draw. I’ve wanted to have it cut and a pad put on it for years but just can’t bring myself to do it. I envy your absolute ownership. |

I ordered a 28 ga gran quite a few years ago, thinking it would have pretty nice wood. It did not. It was barely above standard citoris. I’d never buy a “higher end wood” stocked gun again unless I had seen many photographs of it, or had seen it in person.
Recently I bought a Gr III citori lightning in 16 ga. It has real nice wood, and I had pics of it before buying on gunbtoker. |

Reading this post I guess I should consider myself very lucky to get the wood I got on my pair of Citoris that I had custom engraved.

They are 2010 Gran lightning's. I was told the wood was real good and bought the first one. The prefix "C" is on the box end. I don't know if that means anything or not.
I liked it so much I called the seller and told him so.
While we were talking, he told me he had its' consecutively serial numbered twin, so I bought it. I was not disappointed. |
