shot a bird in the fracas? If so, was it difficult to remove the lead? |

There once was a bird that I shot,
In the fracas was where he was got,
He flew not far,
I celebrated in a bar,
And told stories all night while drinking a spot! |

Made it up. Was not really happy with the last line, but hey, it was around 1 in the morning. |

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I shot a bird in the fracas,
So what's new? |

I once shot a bird in the fracas.
A tricky and difficult shot.
He went down in a flutter.
But not a sound did he utter.
Now he's warming nicely in the pot. |

I sat in my chair with a drink,
a fracas shot bird in the sink,
when suddenly it hits me,
my dog is not with me!
I left him there what did I think!
This could get out of hand quickly! |

Use a 12 gauge I said you can't make us,
then I got kicked somewhere hard in the fracus.
So I pulled out me double,
and said "Lad, you're in trouble,
My 16 won't put up with your fuss."
But he saw its smooth wood,
and said it looked good,
So we went back inside for a Guinness. |

One hundred miles of driving we did go,
Through rain, sleet, and snow,
When we arrived at our destination it looked bad,
Not one bird was to be had.
My friend said “it is time to change our luck”,
As he dug around in his truck.
Out he came with a gem,
A sweet 16 with a cutts on the front end.
“This ought to do the trick,
he said as he worked the action slick,
All shiny and oiled it looked mighty grand,
It brought birds in from all the land.
We had our limit in no time,
And most of the birds looked real fine.
But I had to ask him a question,
as we finished our cleaning chores,
“So tell me the story about changing our luck,
And both of us shooting much more”,
As we sipped a drink to quench our thirst,
I asked the question that would be the thing of lore,
“Was it the great old shotgun that brought us luck,
Or the fracas you shot on that first duck the more?” |

No, but I once shot someone the "bird" and it lead to a fracas. |
